Join Dr. Michael Frey, pediatric neuropsychologist, to learn about our current understanding of reading and writing learning disabilities. This presentation will include:

  • Consideration of previous and current definitions of the disability with discussion of terms including dyslexia, dysgraphia and specific learning disorders.

  • Instruction regarding the neuroanatomy and neuropsychological functioning of students with these disabilities.

  • Intellectual, cognitive processing and academic achievement measures which are most effective for identification.

  • Classroom accommodations, comorbidities, and how to support youth struggling with these learning issues.
