“Every stage of life presents new challenges and opportunities for growth.”
Jamie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who specializes in working with children and adolescents of all ages. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan and her MA in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University’s The Family Institute.
Every stage of life presents new challenges and opportunities for growth. From early childhood to the teenage years, Jamie uses a strength-based approach to empower children and families to manage stress, develop individualized coping skills, and improve communication. In partnership with parents and caregivers, Jamie provides a safe space to help families navigate these challenges and make meaningful progress towards their goals.
Prior to joining FPS, Jamie spent almost a decade working as a School Counselor in an elementary/middle school serving students in Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade. She has an extensive understanding of the social skills, self-regulation practices, and executive functioning demands required of children and adolescents in a school setting. Jamie is uniquely qualified to help families address school challenges and specializes in helping our youngest students become successful learners.
Jamie loves finding creative ways to build relationships with her clients to encourage conversation and exploration. She incorporates play-based concepts into therapy sessions and believes in the power of games, art, and movement. Most importantly, she is committed to developing an authentic connection with the children, adolescents, and adults who seek her support.
When she is not working, Jamie is busy parenting a toddler and infant of her own. She loves summers in Chicago, musical theater, and the Michigan Wolverines.
