Jordan studied Psychology and Political Science at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in La Jolla CA. After undergrad, he spent 2 years teaching 9th and 11th grade English in the San Francisco Unified School District while also working as a part-time Counselor to incarcerated juvenile males at the San Francisco Youth Guidance Center. He then attained a Masters degree in clinical psychology at Teachers College Columbia University in New York, NY. Next, he completed a clinical psychology doctoral program at DePaul University in Chicago, IL.
His research and dissertation focused on coping strategies in youth exposed to academic and violence stressors. He completed his pre-doctoral clinical psychology internship at UW Madison Psychiatric Institute and Clinics (WisPIC).
Jordan specializes in treating youth, adults, and families suffering from various psychopathological conditions, particularly PTSD, mood, and anxiety disorders using empirically-supported treatment interventions.
Furthermore, Jordan has extensive experience working with children with externalizing behavior disorders as well as Parent Management Training to aid parents in behavior modification strategies for their children and themselves. Additionally, Jordan also has clinical experience treating sleep disorders in both pediatric and adult populations.
